Chapel Allerton and useful links
Called the Village for very good reasons, Chapel Allerton is a thriving small suburb a short distance from the city centre and yet 10 minutes from beautiful Yorkshire countryside.
Made up of a mix of Victorian, Edwardian back to backs and terraces with a good range of family semis and converted and purpose built flats, it has for years attracted young professionals who stay and raise their families here.
The large, timeless conservation area around the tennis courts, bowling green and park is a short walking distance from the centre with its bars, restaurants and individual shops which give the Village such heart. We even have a small theatre and an annual arts festival following a week of events in September.
The following links give you information on transport, schools, shops and services, but, best of all, come and see us. Have breakfast at Crust and Crumb, a walk round the park, lunch at The Hub and a drift round the gift shops Angels and Glasshouse Gallery. Sample the amazing cupcakes at Sunshine Bakery and then roll downhill to say hello to us at Hendys and we can talk about what you would like to buy or rent here.
